Simple and cozy by Casa Groove

Surrounded by several huge oaks, this courtyard design, at the back of a small lot, provides a quiet outdoor space to relax in. The lot is divided in a such a way that the front structure and garage serve as a buffer, preventing street noise from entering the small courtyard in the back, as well as to the main public spaces of the house. Casa Grove is situated on a wooded lot, 40 feet wide x 170 feet deep, facing a busy avenue in the north part of Coconut Grove, Florida. Although compact, it features a long and narrow entry, which creates the feeling of entering a large open space.

Inside, the house is formed as an open plan, combining a gray color palette with spots of bright red and an exposed corrugated steel roof and sidings; an industrial staircase provides access to the top bedroom/studio space.

Exterior Lighting

The same rules that govern interior lighting apply to the exterior spaces.
Exterior task lighting primarily provides safe night time access, around front door, garden paths and pool areas. The old large-sourced ambient lighting, (like multiple high wattage filament globes or spotlights) should be avoided. There are now many other more energy efficient and effective choices. Small 12V 10 watt halogen fixtures over or near the front door or along a path or staircase, will light enough of the traffic area to allow safe passage. The new extreme low wattage LED lights will do the same thing even more efficiently. Path lighting is best mounted on a wall or post, well below eye level, so that the source at no point blinds the traveller. Any close light source at night has a tendency to blind because the eye's pupil has adjusted wide open to very low levels.

When this task lighting is augmented with some feature lighting, (accenting particular plants, water features, stone walls), the path to the house becomes a passage of discovery.
Unlike interior rooms, the garden generally does not have a ceiling, so most fixtures would be mounted in the ground, providing up-lighting for plants and walls. While exterior feature lighting can be very attractive, one must be energy conscious and selective when deciding what to light. Not the entire garden needs to, or should be, lit up. Also consider how the exteriors lights impact on the neighbours. Some people (possible rightly) think that excess garden lighting is light pollution. Infrared sensors that turn lights on when needed are a worthwhile consideration.

Building a park on the roof

To help prevent or reduce the speed of global warming, adding a green open space with a garden on the roof of houses, buildings, hotels and offices is one effective way. Although the condition of the urban region largely filled by a high rise building, the designers (architects, and landscape architect) must create a green open space to add plants that have been taken over when the building was constructed.

By creating a garden on the roof, high-rise buildings can still have a green open space, because there is space efficiency. Park on the roof (roof garden) is as an alternative reforestation to improve the quality of big city environmental health.

Tips and Trick Designing Your Home

This page will give you the tips and tricks that would take a long time to compile and find in one place. Magazines always give a few tips and tricks, but they always apply to the pictures. Designers in the same books always limit exposing their secrets. So, if you need an area straightened out or better decorated you have come to the right place.

Stay away from trends   with d  ecorating after the trend has passed can be costly. If you like trendy pieces you can intermix them with most design styles.

• Get ideas and inspiration from websites and magazines and k eep them in a binder. You can also place fabric and color samples in it. When you go shopping take it with you to make it easier to match colors and materials or find pieces of furniture or accessories.

• Good design is in the details when planning a room. Moldings, cabinet handles, light and outlet switches, etc; can bring elements together and form a more cohesive appearance.

• Explore all the decorating possibilities decisions. You don't want to walk into a store and find something you really like because you never went into that particular store. Explore everywhere before purchasing anything.

• Large-open plan rooms are hard to separate into smaller section.   Area rugs can do a great job of delineating areas in the same room. But, since they are in the same room they need a common color to link them together.

• Take your time when making decorating decisions. The results will be better than if you rushed to get it finished. Rome wasn't built in a day. And those TV shows take a lot longer than an hour to complete those 'fast' rooms
Page other than as a fatherly gardening, can also be used as a place peresana water. This is very useful specifically for those of you who live in flood prone areas. We only make a small hole in the yard as deep as 3 meters. If a house has a water absorption of  5 only, will prevent flooding.
