On my weekly stroll hunt through HomeGoods this past week I took some photos of some great finds to share with you.  I figured since we all can't meet up and shop together (how fun would that be?) I'd take you along virtually.  So enjoy!  (psst-at the end of this post I have a little giveaway)

How cute would this lamp be in a little girls nursery or even a Mommy's office  :-)

I spy some candlesticks that look like Ballards.

Quick tip: Use table cloths for curtains!  They're cheap-easy-no sew solutions and you can get some amazing prints & colors.  Buy the ones for the rectangular tables that seat 8-12.

Subway signs are still very popular- and this one was a great size and only $69!  compared to many I've seen for over $200!

Love the details on this little distressed black chest.  It would make a great entryway piece or even as a nightstand.

ummm Hello you Restoration Hardware looking piece of furniture for about a 10th of the price!!  Can I just say it took at LOT a strength to walk away from this piece!

This little equestrian lamp was very Z Gallerie looking.  Great for a little girls room.  Or even a chic black & white office---hmmmm my wheels are turning.

And this great little settee - perfect for a master bedroom or even as dining room seating on one side of the table.

Ok, so that was fun right?  Lets go get some Starbucks- shall we?

So on my normal weekly visit to HomeGoods I spotted these chairs that screamed Restoration Hardware,but whispered Im only $149!!
So of course I had to snatch them up- I mean really they "wanted" me!

Here's the Restoration Hardware version:

At $279 a chair (which does not include shipping & handling)

Then I noticed on the bottom of the chair: Safavieh - which is a rug maker-but apparently they sell furniture too.  So I looked them up and low & behold there was my chair:

For $295 a chair!! (which does not include shipping & handling)

So I think its pretty safe to say..... I got a good deal!

P.S.- they only had 2 chairs at my local store- so I drove an hour South and found 1 more- so I'm just needing 1 more!!!  Im on a hunt! Its on like donkey-kong!!!

BEST DAY EVER!!!

If you've seen the movie Tangled you will remember that part where she's swinging around the tree and says "Best Day Ever!!"  well thats how I felt yesterday.

It all started with a trip to HomeGoods (well 3 HomeGoods to be exact).  And there she was sitting there all shiny and smiling at me.  

But *gasp* she had a flaw!! a rather large crack on one side of the drawer.  

So I called the manager over and asked if he would be willing to take some money off due to the fact that I would have to get that drawer repaired.  And what did he say?..... "sure!, how about $100 off?"  For real?!?!  score!!  I snatched her up before anyone else heard his offer.  I tried to keep myself from busting-a-move right there in the furniture isle.  Cuz this girl dont do the running man that well. WORD!!  

Ok so onto the next isle........ accessories!!!!!! say it again "accessories"!!  and that is where I found this:

Yes! the very tray that I have drooled over at Target for like ever! and everytime walked away and then kicked myself later.  Here is was in my store! for only $29-- yes!!!

So after my loot was loaded up I headed over to continue my high via: a la caffeine!

We (yes I drug my little guys with me-but hey they got spiderman snorkels at one of the HomeGoods stores-so they scored too) headed to a couple of other stores then went home.

And to what did my wondering eyes appear on my front porch? Fabric!! yes my P. Kaufmann fabric.

But wait!! there's more!!  Dont you change that channel yet!  I went to my mailbox and found these!!!

 

awww yeah!!  3 magazines in ONE day!! can you stand it!?

It was a good day, a very good day.  So now today to balance out my very good day- I have to go clean toilets and do laundry. boo-hiss!

OH!! and I called my local glass repair shop -guess how much its going to cost to fix that drawer? ............ $35! sa-weet!!!

Faux Greenery

Im not a big fan of faux floral or greenery unless it looks real.  I mean so real that you have to touch it to make sure.  I have always loved all the faux boxwood that Restoration Hardware has in there store.

 But at over $70 a piece I have to just walk away.  So, much to my excitement, the other day I was at HomeGoods (I know, surprise, surprise) and spied this faux garden sphere in an aged-terra cotta looking bowl for.......wait for it............... $19!!!  I think its just a nice as the Restoration Hardware one and with the money I saved I was able to buy that neat little garden bust next to it.  He creeps my family out- but I like him!  I think he needs a name too.  Paul? Herman? Thor? (kidding!! we saw that movie this weekend-he's a cutie for sure)
