Penguin blankets in strawberry and vanilla

We love the wool blankets! SO much that we're doing them in a new bigger size as well as the smaller previous size. Inspired by summer the colours are strawberry red and vanilla. They are being hemmed as we speak and should be available just as soon as the Norwegian transport strike is resolved!  Hopefully it's all over in a couple of weeks...

Remember the table cloth?

As far as tableclothing goes - this one has been a nightmare project... BUT it's all coming to an end! It will soon be in the warehouse ready for dispatch! We'll takse some new nice photos for you to see, stay tuned!

Farm Daze

Just up from a nap. Busy two days, much activity, very little sleep. Everyone at work felt the same , we all swam wearily through the day.

On Monday we went to one of my spiritual homes, the farm in Maryland. Only 40 minutes away(though in an non airconditioned truck on a humid 90 degree day with a 70 pound Lab plastered to your side, 40 minutes can seem like 40 hours) it's a different world.

As we drove through the farms gates the temperature dropped at least 10 degrees. Peacocks were shrieking, magnolias blossoms were scenting the air and a freshly baked strawberry rhubarb pie, made with garden fruit, was cooling in the kitchen.

We had our usual 2 hour pre dinner stroll of Heaven's 5 acres. There were two new 7 month old Maine coon kittens playing with a frog down by the pond. We looked and asked questions and took pictures and looked some more. There are always freshly planted new beds, something new in the old beds and far too many treasures for us to take home.

We ate grilled leg of lamb, asparagus and lettuce from the garden and that pie. German girl's favorite, it was etched with her name, I didn't know if it would be shared.

We left with a truck bed full of home grown heirloom tomato and pepper plants ,an exotic love vine, scented nicotiana seedlings, African foxgloves and a host of other beauties we have no room for. We have a dozen eggs from their chickens and some more of that pie.

They'll be with us for the 4th of July. AND they'll bring their blueberry pie.We love those boys. Life is sweet.

ArchitectDesign in CA

Next week for my birthday, I'll be traveling to the west coast to the fabulous places shown here.

A day trip to San Simeon (aka the Hearst castle, the indoor pool seen in the top photo) was the catalyst for the whole vacation. I wanted to spend my 30th birthday doing something fabulous -whats more extraordinary than a fairytale castle along the ocean!

Exploring San Franciso, the Filoli mansion and Carmel are on the agenda, can you recommend any other must-sees or restaurants in particular?

Of course I also plan on staying at a few fabulous hotels that I can't wait to share with you all :-)

Bedhead

After never really being happy with my bedroom I have been playing with it a little lately. I made the bedhead/headboard by cutting out some board (well actually made Paul cut it out!), bought some wadding and stapled it to the back, then used a beige top sheet I wasn't using to cover it. Quite happy with the result, but I think one day I will wad it a bit more and cover it with a beautiful fabric!

Aku kapok deh komentar dan blogwalking kemarin memang kesalahan aku yang newbie dan nggak tahu apa-apa ini, aku komentar berlebihan di postingan lama seorang selebritis dunia maya yang memang punya tulisan bagus dan blog ternyata sudah di setting dofollow, sampai-sampai yang punya posting tentang kemarahannya ,aduh nyesel deh dan nggak lagi-lagi, kalau di hubungkan dengan gambar di atas aku seperti anjing kecil itu yang lirik kanan dan kiri karena nggak tahu apa-apa, dan tadi muka aku seperti bebek itu karena nyesel  banget dan malu,, jadi malu deh ama blogger bumi lasinrang lainnya, apalagi mas faiz yang baru posting tentang jangan jadi spammer, oh rupanya gitu ya nggak boleh terlalu banyak komentar, jadi inget battle komen di kangboed blog yang sudah top bgt yang sampai harus upgrade karena kehabisan bandwith  karena komentar yang sampai ribuan , tapi ini kan tergantung pribadi masing-masing kan blog sendiri jadi terserah yang punya ,yo wess,  mari mulai dengan hal baru
