Garage sales were festive, but sad. Inviting mates afterwards brings comfort, consolation, and people to babysit favorite leftovers while you are gone. This day it also brought Ducky, companion of five years to my dear permie mate Tamara.
With only a few days left in the house, and no time for cooking, Gamini saved us with some brilliant Sri-lankan improvization, and a final raid of the edible courtyard garden. The mauve-striped Eggplant, asparagus, and garlic chives were lovely as a coconut curry. Vegetarian curry.
Ducky contributed to the lunch in the capacity of guest, comfortably seated in his customized Duckmobile. Him and his facebook mates are always going on about the hottest duckmobile modifications, windshear, etc.
He does a cool Mexican Wave, this ducky.
Tamara is joining the gang of 'foster parents' for my balcony garden plants and pots. I wonder what a duck-themed balcony garden would grow?
